GYC Paralegal Spotlight: Laurie Baker

With more than 40 years of experience in the legal profession, Laurie Baker brings exceptional knowledge, adaptability, and compassion to her role at Grossman Yaffa Cohen.

Laurie joined the firm in December 2017 and supports our attorneys in complex medical malpractice cases involving adults and infants, wrongful death, personal injury, class actions, and multidistrict litigation. Her work spans every stage of the litigation process, from discovery and document production to motion preparation, case organization, and trial support.

Laurie began her career in 1982, when pleadings were prepared on typewriters using carbon paper and court filings were delivered by hand. As technology transformed the legal profession, Laurie evolved with it, mastering new systems and finding better ways to organize complex information and support her legal teams.

What has remained constant throughout her career is her commitment to clients. Laurie understands that behind every case is a person or family navigating an extraordinarily difficult time. Her own life experiences have deepened her empathy and shaped the personal, responsive approach she brings to every client relationship.

We are proud to recognize Laurie for her remarkable career, meticulous attention to detail, and nearly nine years of dedicated service to GYC and our clients.
